Is there is a way to have Q.Bo look forward instead of slightly up like he does currently? i have him on my desk at eye level but he always ends up losing us and looking up, would like it if i can change it so he looks forward instead?

I am bothered by this as well. It looks like the default config for QBO is to be on the floor or a coffee table.

Are you using v2 ?

You can probably change initial head position by modifying the python script. Can you confirm you have ssh access to the pi?

@harut

Hi mate hope you had a nice Xmas

I am indeed using V2, haven't really had time to look into things much for now, was hoping for an easy fix if possible lol

A while ago I had a post with code attached to adjust this... but the code seems not have been attached. I can try to retrieve it from some backups but it is really possible to have him look straightforward instead of down.

Hopefully the attachment remains intact...

To have an extra configuration parameter for Q.Bo's head looking configurable up or down...

Installation instructions

- Copy PiFaceFast.py to /opt/qbo/
- Copy config.yml to /opt/qbo/
- Copy config_form.py to /opt/qbo/web/panel/forms/

I advise you to read my textbook to implement Q.BO STEM or Q.BO One at the latest version, with which you can also make it play with chat-gpt.
