Dear Friends and Backers of Q.bo One
We hope you are well and it has been just over two years since we launched the Q.bo One project on Indiegogo.
Our team is pleased to inform you that our robots are now in 48 countries at 6 continents with users from large scale enterprises and technology giants to college users and home based hobbyists. We have also created a robust forum in the process, with many users resolving issues and getting help from other users. At this juncture, we like to give a special shout out to forum users such Chrisbuy, Niko, Greybeard and Aklabat for your contribution to the forum. Thank you and you know who you are! There are many others whom we could not possibly thank in this short post. We know that without your invaluable contribution, we would not have such a robust community.
Aside from resolving issues with the product, we are also listening actively to users’ feedback. Our team has made tremendous progress with the development and improvement of Q.bo One. We have updated the product and it will be unveiled in the coming months.
Notwithstanding, we like to have a better understanding of user’s experience on our product and things they like to see improved. We also like to have better insights to their aspirations with regard to the product, such as how they intend to work with it and deliver outcomes for their business and customers. Some users have created very useful interactive applications, such as detection of bullying in schools and games for training special kids with autism. We are heartened to see such applications because this is exactly why we create Q.bo One, in adding value to people’s lives. We are also aware that some users may encounter difficulties when working with the robot so if you need assistance, do reach out and we will point you at the right direction on where you can find some answers. Q.bo One is open source and many literature with regard to its software and how you can work with it is on our Gitlab link and forum.
Regardless, we are always looking to do better with our product. Therefore, feedback from users on how we can improve is always welcome. On a related note, we also like to see the progress users made with the product and we will be happy to see your work with Q.bo One. Do send us a video, whether it is working with Google Assistant or dialog engines such as Dialogflow and Lex. If you like, we can feature your work in the next blog so that it may open wider opportunities for you and other forum users as well.
Last but not least, we are looking to grow and work at a faster pace moving forward. Do give us a shout out if you know there is someone we should work with, whether it is technical collaboration or strategic investment. We will be happy to work with like-minded entities to extend the reach and viability of Q.bo One.
Thank you once again for your kind patience, support and love for the Q.bo One project. We look forward to work with you to make Q.bo One the leading interactive robot in the world.
We will be understanding but, above all, thank you for the great work and developments. Is providing a body (on wheels) to Qbo still a possibility ? 😛
Thanks Dans, yes we are working in new features available very soon.
