Problems during a fresh installation

Hi everyone,

In October we received and started using Q.bo STEM, the new Q.bo one that comes with a tablet.

I was doing several tests, and tried to configure google diagflow and scratch mode without success. Then I started to try scripts published by the community here in the forum, one to see what Q.bo sees on the webcam and recognize faces (this one), and another one that should track faces (this one). The first script worked without problems, but when I tried the second one and I couldn't get it to work and the first one stopped working too.

At this point I thought it would be better to do a fresh installation. So I followed the fresh install guide in the README of https://gitlab.com/thecorpora/QBO. First problem was when installing the most recent Raspbian version the screen of Q.bo remained black and nothing happened. So I tried to install an older version of Raspbian and this time it worked, but when running QBO_Installer.sh it always stops working when this line appears in console "Running setup.py bdist_wheel for grpcio ... ", ram usage goes to 100% and the system frozes.

Hope someone can help me to get it working.

Installing OpenQbo on clean SD

Returning to OpenQbo after a while, and I have some issues intalling OpenQbo by follwing the steps on https://gitlab.com/thecorpora/QBO

I just downloaded a raspbian stretch iso, burnt into the SD, and followed the steps.

So far it ended the installation without errors, and Mycroft is installed and working, mouth leds are moving when Mycroft speaks, but that's all, no head movement, no nose led indicator and no Web Panel listening on port 8000.

Besides, my /opt directory seems missing all Qbo related packages (there are snowboy and mycroft directories, though)

Is there a newer guide, or way to install v2 or v3 of openqbo?

In the forums I see discussions about OpenQbo v3.0, but in the setup instructions (as of August, 2020) there are only discussions about v2.0 (and v1.0 deprecated). Is there really a v 3.0? How does one get it?

Qbotalk problem

I don't know how to solve it, moreover with this error also qbo audio doesn't work anymore, also if I play a simple .wav file with Audacity nothing is heard.

eSpeak issue

Hi, me again, I have an issue with espeak in setting a new language. I asked already and you told me the command "espeak -vit" works fine for you. On my q.bo when writing that command, first thing is that the cursor goes the line below the command and it stayed there for many minutes. ImportError: No module named pocketsphinx

I was ale to get Pocketsphinx to install without error using

sudo apt-get install pocketsphinx

However when I try to use it I get an error of: ImportError: No Module named pocketsphinx

I am trying to work with Q.Bo offline and thought I would use Pocketsphinx. However,…“ interactive mode, both the scratch mode, need to be connected to the network. How can worker in offline mode and have access to the sensors of Qbo? will it be available SDK for this?
